So close!

Date: 2/19/17

Hike Difficulty: moderate
Hike Length: 8.37 mi
Elevation Gain: 1677 ft
Time: 3 hrs 26 mins

Well, a few days ago I tried to get to the Squaw Peak lookout again via Little Grayback trail. However, my hiking buddy didn’t come with the right footwear and had frozen feet when we were about .75 mi from the summit, so we turned back. There was a lot less snow than the past few times I’ve walked this trail and it was raining on and off the entire hike.

If you follow this blog at all, you probably know that I don’t like starting something without finishing it. I’ll have to come back to conquer this one soon.

  1. You were soooo close! Just the road walk part is all that stood between you and the summit (although I have to admit that the last bit of road past the gate up to the lookout always seems steeper than it probably is). It would be nice if you finally got to the top on a sunny day, as the view is great!

    • Haha, yeah, I’ll definitely make it to the top when the weather clears up a bit. I’ve tried it enough times, it’s just embarrassing at this point 🙂
